PANIC ATTACKS

The extreme anxiety of a panic attack is unpredictable and short-lived. It is one of many spiritual crisis symptoms. Generally lasting ten to twenty minutes, a panic attack is characterized by a crescendo of fear, a suddenly accelerated heart rate, heart palpitations, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, chest pain, shaking, sweating, and fear of losing control. A panic attack can be triggered by a memory of being threatened or abused.
